Although overlapping cannot be completely avoided, a lot of care is necessary to achieve a uniform effect. Check the color before spraying it, if it looks even when it's wet, the same evenness will remain when the color develops.

Even if you go to a salon and entrust tanning to professionals, the skin preparation is still your responsibility. Dermatological treatments could impair the best spray tan results, which is why a medical opinion may be necessary before the tanning session. The thing is that there is medication such as Accutane or Retin-A that interfers with the absorbtion of the active DHA ingredient that causes the tanned look. If you are using such medicine, the tan will be faulty with stains and blotches and chances to repair it are minimum. Moreover, do not insist with the tanning lotion on certain portions of the body because you can spoil the look even further. A deep tan doesn't necessarily mean more spray or lotion!
