The Facts That Causes Bronchitis Viral Infection
A bronchitis viral infection is a very common ailment and especially during colder months. There are several different types of bronchitis and each type is caused by different things. While almost anyone can suffer from a bronchitis viral infection certain people are more susceptible to this disease than others. You may be vulnerable to this disease if you are already suffering from some other type of respiratory infection or have low immunity to diseases in general.
Diagnosis Of Bronchitis Viral Infection
Bronchitis viral infection can be easily diagnosed by your doctor without many tests. There is a simple physical examination by listening for wheezing with a stethoscope and an overall evaluation of symptoms is all that is needed.
If your doctor needs to determine that it is indeed a bronchitis viral infection and not bronchitis caused by bacteria then a sample of sputum may be taken. Further tests may be needed if your doctor suspects that your bronchitis viral infection may actually be pneumonia. Chest x-rays are used to rule out pneumonia.
Treatment
Antibiotics are not prescribed for bronchitis viral infection as this type of medication will have no effect on bronchitis that is viral in nature. However some people may suffer from both viral and bacterial bronchitis at the same time.
If this is the case then your health care provider will need to prescribe you with antibiotics. Antibiotics may also be used when there are other lung diseases and lung infections. Chronic bronchitis such as asthmatic bronchitis may also be treated with antibiotics.
If you have a persistent cough even though the initial viral infection has passed then your doctor may want to prescribe an inhaler that has corticosteroids. This will help to reduce inflammation and can help ease a cough that shows no signs of abating.
Opening up the airways is important when a person is suffering from a bronchitis viral infection. A number of things can be done to do this, the simple method of filling a bowl with hot water and inhaling the steam with a towel draped over the head is one method.
Steam vaporizers and cool mist humidifiers are also helpful to open up the airways. Bronchodilators may also be prescribed for this purpose though this method is a short term solution. The age old advice of plenty of rest and fluids is the best for a bronchitis viral infection that has just started. Always follow the advice of your doctor for maintain your health.

Of course doctors are expected to wear lab coats or scrubs or white coat. Seldom will you find doctors who wear shirt and tie during examination with his or her patients and even business casual wear.
But as for me I'd rather choose a doctor who wears a lab coat or a scrub.
However the most important thing is that the doctor must be really credible and effective no matter what he or she wears.
Bronchitis is the inflammation of the bronchial tubes and the bronchi that go into the lungs and pneumonia is in the lungs and where they fill with fluid. Your chest will feel heavy and hurt on movement and not just on breathing. Sometimes your chest will hurt on one side and feel"heavy" and you can definitely tell the difference.

Sounds like youhave one of the cases of Bronchitis thats going around see your doctor again or get a second opinion. Try not to drink anything cold as this will make your cough worse. Stay inside and keep warm until you can see a doctor. Don't feel bad I think I'm catching it too.

My bronchitis improved dramatically just by watching the air quality and the humidity inside. You can improve indoor air quality by moving to natural cleaning products instead of commercial products and being careful about burning candles, spraying fragrances, etc. Commercial products people think of as "clean" usually have warning labels telling you that they can e harmful. Run a humidifier and keep your humidity at 40%.
Flu causes, usually, nausea.
Bronchitis does not cause fever, stuffy nose, or muscle aches.
Oh, and NOTHING viral will respond to antibiotics. I'm surprised the "RN" above didn't say something about that.
Yesterday went to see the doctor again. He said my cough is heading into becoming Bronchitis... Oh nooo....

Hope I can help you!!! Speaking from my experience, I was in the same boat you are in right now! 2 and a half years ago I was worse off than you. I could non't breath and was on antibiotics----I did have chronic bronchitis-----It was cleared up. It turned out that I had adult set ashtma which is now under control with Advair. As far as the test you will have to undergo--- a PFT test, CAT scan, PET test and blood test. Hope this helps. And by the way---it is non't a death sentence.

it could be the whooping cough, i had that last year sometime and it lasted about 2-4 months of just miserable coughing. i couldnt do anything without almost dying. it fades away after a while though. its not really harmful, just aggravating.

The z pak probably did work. You chest is sore from all the coughing you did. If your having a little breathing problem, the doctor can give you an albuterol inhaler to help that. Frequently doctors give an albuterol inhaler when people have bronchitis.

I had something similar. My friend gave me some of his anti-inflamatorial pills and they made the problem dissipate temporarily. Try drinking green tea and eating alot of raw uncooked garlic. Cut the garlic up in a salad to make it taste better and eat alot of it. Garlic kills germs in your body and green tea helps your immune system. Quit eating junk food if you do. Try to eat alot of fruits and vegetable. Avoid grease, mono-sodium glutamate, sugars, salts, high fructose foods, and try to workout even though you may feel shitty. Sometimes a good diet can cure better than medicines. All this helped me.
