Your questions about i feel good

Ruth asks…
What are some good ways to feel better from depression?
I'm just really stressed out and depressed over everything. Everything seems hopeless and just out of my reach. My friends and people dont seem to care, but only preoccupied about their own lives. My boyfriend tries to help me, but I dont feel any better. Music or exercise doesnt help me anymore and everything that I used to love to do, just doesnt interest me anymore. It feels like I'm falling away from myself. Are there any good ways of just feeling better? And please dont tell me to go to a psychiatrist or therapist. I've already been there. Thanks everyone.

How to feel good about yourself while you're losing weight?
I have like 20lbs to lose and I feel so miserable. I'm trying to lose weight now but I just feel so blah and ugly. I feel too ugly to exist. How can I feel good about myself while losing weight?

WriterMan answers:
Concentrate on small goals. Trying to tackle the whole thing may seem like too much. Break it down by monthly goals or even weekly ones. Take pictures of your progress up on the mirror or some place noticeable to motivate yourself and show yourself what you have done. Weight loss takes a long time before you see results so just stay strong! Join support groups or blogs online and lose weight doing things you love instead of only excercising in ways that you hate doing.
If you sleep between 8 and 6 hours a night and establish a sure routine in your life it can make all the difference.

Susan asks…
How do you feel good about yourself constantly?
Like, you won't care about what people think, or not trying to compare to other people, etc. I would say I'm basically negative about myself. Although I feel good about myself at times.

WriterMan answers:
Change what you don't like. It's that simple.
If you're overweight, eat healthier, this doesn't mean going all vegetarian on your ass, just eat healthier alternatives to what you're currently eating, less snacks especially and drink mostly water, not soda.
If it's your personality you don't like, correct it, change it, or accept it. I prefer accepting it. But if you have to change it, just stop and think for a second before reacting normally to any given situation.
If it's facial features or skin imperfections etc., there's cosmetic surgery, and while I don't condone it, if it makes you feel better about yourself then hey, go for it.

Mandy asks…
What alcohol does to brain that makes one feel positive and good? Why I feel good after a drink?
I know it has something to do with the feel-good hormones in my body. But if they re already there, why I cant feel as good always?

WriterMan answers:
alcohol is a depressant, so if you're tense, and stressed out from the day, a drink can relax you temporarily.
even so,it's not a good idea to use alcohol for stress relief all of the time.. try exercise.

Jenny asks…
How do you feel good while someone's making fun of you and bullying you?
I know that when people hate you and make fun of you, it's actually a sign that they're jealous of you and that you're important (and probably better than them). The thing is, while they're making fun of me, I tend to feel bad, rather than take insults from my enemies as a sort of compliment. How can I feel good while others are making fun of me and consider it as a compliment and proof that I'm famous and popular? Any tips on how to control my mind?

WriterMan answers:
You can't feel good. It hurts and you can't really avoid it. People make fun of you to make themselves feel better and give themselves power over someone else. It's nothing more than an ego boost. It's not that they are jealous of you, it's just a way to make themselves feel good.
If someone makes fun of me, sometimes I laugh with them and say "Ha ha you're so funny" sarcastically. It really takes away from their victory over you if you show that it doesn't hurt you. Don't show weakness. Just don't take it to heart, because they don't know who you are, and you do. You know why you're a good person, you know your strengths, and you know you can be successful. When they make fun of you, take a moment afterwards to remind yourself of your strengths and what you plan on doing with your future. Build yourself up after they tear you down.
Another thing I do is completely ignore them. Pretend they don't exist. Don't even give a reaction. If you don't react and ignore them, it doesn't fuel their fire, so to speak. This just might be your best option. And again, build yourself up after they make fun of you.
I don't know if there are any tips that could make you control your mind, because you will always feel hurt when people make fun of you. The only thing I can tell you is to not believe what they say, and don't let it get you down, or make you insecure. Don't build resentment, don't hate them back, don't get angry at them, because they have problems of their own. Continue being confident in yourself, study hard and be successful. That's the best way to get over it.
Oh, and feel sorry for them... because they have no compassion or love for other people... A person who makes fun of others is very immature and insecure, and emotionally stunted...
Pity them and maybe even tell them "I really feel sorry for you, I hope someday you learn how to respect and care about other people, because if you don't you will end up alone."
The best thing you could ever do is to care about people no matter how mean they are. It takes a mature, rare kind of person to do that, and honestly, you seem like that kind of person.
