Micro Needling

Previously Microneedling has been a costly practice requiring you to see a specialst regularly; however Microneedling is now a normal procedure in most normal house holds. The Derma-Roller is a simple device with numerous gama sterilized microscopic needles which, as they are rolled over the skin, gently part the pores of the epidermis and trigger the healing process increasing the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen is required for skin to heal to a cosmetic level

It is the production of this extra collagen and elastin that makes all the difference, the main source of the occurance of skin conditions including stretch marks and scars is there is a lack of collagen and elastin in the skin, when this is replaced the skin returns to its original smooth and firm state. When an injury occurs, such as a cut, the skin repairs itself to stay healthy; but unfortunately the skin doesn’t recognise that scars are undesirable.

For scarring, stretchmarks and Wrinkles to be reduced, it is impotant for the skin to have reason to begin healing itself producing more collagen and elastin, using a Derma roller achieves this by opening the pores of the upper layer of skin giving the illusion of the skin being damaged and in need of repair. Repeating the process of Micro Needling will ensure your skin continues to heal itself to a completely cosmetic level.

Is Microneedling the best option?

In compasison to other procedures, Micro-Needling is far more cost effective and better then therapies such as purely using creams as the skin absorbes only a tiny percentage of creams applied, however when applied within an hour of using the Dermaroller the creams are absorbed significantly better as the pores are open.

Microneedling is used to treat an array of skin conditions; Stretch marks, Cellulite, Wrinkles, pitted skin, acne scars, surgery scars, scars, crow’s feet etc
