MRSA Staph is a Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus bacteria. The microbe causes major skin breakdowns with multiple ailments. There are other designations in the scientific literature for this bacteria based on where the bacteria is acquired by patients. The two primary source types are community-acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA), and hospital-acquired MRSA or epidemic MRSA (EMRSA).
WHAT ARE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
MRSA Staph presents as a small, red and tender area of skin that is similar to a bug bite or pimple. When the infection spreads, the skin abscess with pus underneath. This further becomes a carbuncle which is larger than an abscess with openings in the skin, or boil (pus-filled area around a hair follicle).
This progression is serious and life-threatening. A practitioner assessment is critical. Additional signs that an infection is developing include the following:
- Fever
- Yellow/white or greenish drainage that may have a foul odor
- Tender red/dark pink area on the surface of the skin that is growing in size
The following symptoms may indicate the infection has spread:
- Shortness of breath (concern for pneumonia)
- Shaking chills (infection of the blood or heart valves)
- Severe headache that is different from your normal headache patterns
- Extreme weakness and low blood pressure
- Joint pains accompanying any of the above symptoms
As many as 1.2 million U.S. hospital patients are infected with Staph MRSA each year, nearly 10 times as many as previously estimated. According to APIC officials, 1,237 hospitals and nursing homes responded to the survey, or about 21% of U.S. inpatient health care facilities (Stobbe, AP/Houston Chronicle, 6/07). William Jarvis, former acting director of the hospital infections program at CDC -- found that 34 of 1,000 patients had active MRSA infections, and 12 of 1,000 patients were colonized with MRSA, which amounts to an MRSA incidence rate of 46 per 1,000 patients. (Chicago Tribune, 6/07). More info available at

Try soaking in a mild water and boric acid sulution until the pus drains. Then apply Silvadene and a sterile bandage. Silvadene is excellent for burns/abrasions; however you need a prescription, so you should see a doctor or walk in clinic.
Badass.
Yes. Be diligent and pay attention to her. Infections are no joke. Fluids! Vitamin C! Veggies & protein! No junk food. Keep up on those antibiotics.
Good luck, mom.

It was a disease. He used make-up and when 50% of his body went white I think he switched the colour.
I agree with beekayee. God has given us ways to cure everything and if man had not overused antibotics way way to much then it wouldn't be like this today. God Bless.

I rather suspect that since it's not real medicine, you can hang your shingle out without any education.
But, if you want to work in a pharmacy, you'll need the education and licensing to become either a pharmacist or a pharmacy technician.
Ya im in suffolk county in NewYork and its spreading around here also its pretty crazy just dont share towels and stuff like that also keep ur wounds covered and very clean
Wooo...hooo? XD Hope you're feeling better now, mate.
You should most definitely be worried. Have the doctors check her immune system. It sounds like she could very well have an immune problem. Hope she gets better!!
the ones I have seen got well quickly with medicine but leave a sort of shadowy place where it was, I guess from tissue damage. I think it will fade after a long time. Ask the Dr. if it's OK to use Mederma or similar medicine for scars and bumps.
psoriasis. Pronounced: sore-rye-uh-sis
You really need to see the vet-- there IS an ointment-- it's a prescritoin ointment that only your vet can prescribe,, I think your cat has a bad mold infection -- and it will take a while to get rid of it -- my cat had one-- the vet's ointment worked but I had to use it for a month.
PLEASE call and take kitty to the vet -- or the ear will get MUCH worse. See if the vet takes payments--
- I'm not sure what I'd do if I had a tumor or anything else of that type. It depends. I'd like to think - if it was a bad thing - I'd take the morphine and the rest I'd just go with nature, not that opium isn't natural. I wouldn't want chemo for example. Everyone dies anyway, it's the only sure thing you know will happen to you. Ok maybe some people go off on a UFO like Enoch and ascend, but that's pretty much the same as dying anyway.

You need to get that kid on probiotics as soon as possible. If you cannot purchase probiotic pills for her, buy some yogurt with added probiotics in it and have her eat one a day now and after she stops the antibiotics.
The antibiotics are killing off the bad AND the good bacteria.Intestinal flora is important for keeping our immune system high so you must have it replaced.

does this work for impetigo infections.?
I've made no secret about the fact that I am not a fan of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). I consider it a useless, redundant center within the National Institutes of Health because it does nothing that could't be done as well or better in the institutes and centers of the NIH that existed before woo-friendly Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) created NCCAM's precursor and then saw to it that it grew to a full center, with a budget in the $125 million a year range. Personally, if something has to be cut fromt the government in this time of fiscal austerity, I couldn't think of any better place to start in the NIH than to eliminate NCCAM. True, it's only about 0.5% of the NIH budget, but that would be 0.5% that could be saved for real science. In these times of pay lines at the 7th percentile range (yes, that's what I've been hearing from my colleagues in the study sections), every little bit helps, particularly if we could get rid of the National Cancer...

Scientists are hoping that heat therapy could eventually replace a complex drug regimen as the first-line treatment of a parasitic skin infection common in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
Hey r u finishing the whole treatment like not skipping any of the pills because it looks better? Also ppl develop a tolerance to antibiotics and they wont work for staff if they took them for colds or something miner in the past all the time. Also eating fresh garlic or taking it in pill form in a natural penicillin. May help in addition to what ur doing. Best of luck.
I had the same thing, except I've had it cut out twice and pulled the first puss pocket out myself, only because it managed to dry up and solidify, that was painful. I've had it a total of four times, which have developed. It only started going away after taking numerous bleach baths. I hope yours is gone. Mine was on my right waist so it was hard to pack and painful to sleep.

Some daily use of MMS or colloidal silver would have got rid of that infection in the first 24 hours. There's no known resistance to colloidal silver or MMS. Never will be!
