A diet should not be something that is so strict that you can not enjoy yourself once in a while. If you feel like having a piece of that chocolate cake eat just enough to satisfy your urge for it. As long as you dont over eat or stuff your face all day with things that are bad for you... everything should be ok. You will not blow your diet by enjoying a few snacks. Personally I go out once a month to dinner with my husband and dont worry about it and on Holidays I dont really pay attention to what I want to eat. Sometimes I just want some ice cream at night and will have one serving of it. Im still loosing weight and doing just fine. Good luck and congrats on the decision to get into shape.
