A lot of people have a tough time syncing their balance boards. Here are some syncing tips:
-be sure the batteries in your balance board are NEW.
-make sure the Wii Fit disc is in the Wii console and don't try to sync the balance board until prompted.
-hold the balance board VERY CLOSE to the Wii console while they are trying to sync. In fact, have it almost touching the Wii, just to be sure.

I assume you mean lat pull downs? If so, I'm sure you are aware that pull ups are the same exercise, put with (obviously) much more resistance. Unfortunately, any machine that has variable resistance is going to have a pulley system of some type, making it bulky. All you need for a good workout is a overhead bar, which I'm sure you can find just about anywhere with some ingenuity. If you can't do pull ups due to your current strength, try doing isometric pull ups, or partial pull ups. For the isometrics, you just pull without actually moving your body, which still builds the muscles. As you progress you will eventually have the strength to do more and more, until you can do pull ups. Also, if you are overweight, you can always lose some pounds to make pull ups easier. Use removable plate dumbbells for all of your other exercises.

Correct your posture alot, it helps your body to function better
If your job involves alot of sitting down, then try squatting and then standing alot to practace leg muscles, also try buttocks clenching.
Go food shopping daily so you always have something you are lifting home- and go by bus/foot/train as you are expending excercise as oppose to a taxi or car where you are not.
Dont use remote controls, throw things at bins or say yes to the offer of a cup of tea- unless you are making it-
get a decent pedomiter and attempt 10000 footsteps as recommended a day. Make it your priority to get it to 10000 steps. (n.b not all pedometers are acurate. they usually have in the description what the error %is, check this as some are as high as 50%!)
get a cat who needs feeding, carring home tins of cat food for/ ltter tray cleaning, and this is also time where you may have sat at home eating infront of the tv
try to excercise by jogging in day light either first thing in the morning as the sun comes up- even if it is for only 15 mins it is better than nothing. Or try at the weekends travelling to somewhere nicer just to jog around abit- have a look in the national trust publications/on website for green places to run or hike or walk in.

start by doing some running or some other form of cardio but other things you may want to include are burpees or other forms of plyometric exercises for both upper and lower body. if you are aiming for GS or GA positions practice your shooting. if your on the wing or centre add in some sprints, GD or GK focus on jumping.
