I sound like panic disorder youneed to see a dr and get counseling to find out what is causing the attacks . I had them for years I thought there was something wrong with me. I had them everyday 4 or5 time a day when I finaly got help. I still have them. But htey are only once in a Bluemoon. My counseler taught me ways to get thought them quick. Good luck

To explain it fully would take pages.. but this is the short version. In a panic attack your body is setting itself up to run away as fast as it possibly can, or to fight to the death. Your body believes it is under attack and the adrenaline and all that kind of stuff is ready for immediate action. Among those conditions that are created is the feeling of being detached. Because you need to shed all distractions and be able to focus 100% on the 'danger'. So your mind takes you to the place of a prey animal. That is why an animal in a trap will have a glazed over look.. it is in that same place of having reality suspended so that it can fight with little pain and all of its power to get away. I survived six yrs of panic attacks and came out a much healthier and stronger person, so take hope. And I never had to do therapy or take drugs to get alright, so hang in there.

i have panic disorder. possibly post traumatic stress disorder and social anxiety. i was physically and emotionally abused by my violent drug addict father and abusive alcoholic mother during they're separation when i was child. my family was too abusive to be associated with and i was left outcast from my friends, during at least 6 years of abuse i developed serious depression and become delusional seeing things that weren't real and talking gibberish and thoughts of murder. this is awful.
