Considering a Career in Yoga Workout?
Hatha yoga workout training will allow you to become a teacher of yoga in due time, but there are a few things that you are going to consider too, before jumping in to the yoga fitness world. First, make sure that teaching is something that you truly want to do. Some people say that teaching is not a profession, rather it is a vocation. Thus, it is important that you must do it with passion, Helpful questions might want to ask yourself: “Is teaching yoga workout something I'm really fond of?” and “Is teaching yoga fitness something that I am not going to get bored of?”
You need to understand that a career in yoga fitness means that you are responsible for teaching people in a long term, in addition to what a teacher is supposed to be doing in a yoga workout: teaching the principles, how to hold the postures, and motivating them to learn about this wonderful exercise.
You will be helping people to improve their lives, and this is certainly a positive aspect of it, but you will also need to think about the financial aspect of things, unless of course you are going to keep your full time job and just be a yoga teacher on the side.

If you are comparing between one hatha yoga teacher training course and another, there are certain factors that you are going to want to take into serious consideration, and this includes the price, length of the course, and so on.
Once you find what kind of yoga exercise you'd be teaching then it is best to ask a few instructors on this field, especially if it's your first time to teach. Getting inputs from experts really help you in understanding the strategies required to perform. Try to learn the basics first as experience and being out there will really make the teacher shine in you. You may have untapped potential that you have neglected over the years.

Yoga kicked my ass yesterday. felt like i had a real heavy duty workout.

I found that jazz pants had a higher lycra content, so sometimes you get shine when you are bending and moving. They both however have a similar function so you can bend, stretch and sweat comfortably, so I feel you can use them for various activities.
I can't speak to other brand's product, but the particular workout product that we create is also moisture-wicking. This means it helps to wick the sweat away when you are working out, keeping you cooler and dryer.

Yoga should be done everyday, if possible. You shouldn't need rest days if you are taking it easy in the beginning. Nothing should hurt, ache, or be sore because this isn't like running. The best times to do yoga are sunrise and sunset.
***The only week you should take a rest from yoga is your period.***
If you really want to cardio workout, the yoga can be done two times per week, like you suggested. However, try to practice deep breathing EVERYDAY. Lie down, close your eyes, and feel your tummy going up like a balloon and then sinking down.

There are several DVDs out there that specifically target your back. My experience is that you need to be very, very cautious in your approach when practicing yoga for back pain. It can be immensely helpful, but when pushed too far, too soon, it can aggravate the back.
I think the best ones out there (I haven't seen them all, but you can do a search on amazon on 'yoga back dvd' to get an extensive list) are likely to be the Viniyoga Therapy series: Viniyoga Therapy for the Low Back, Sacrum and Hips and Viniyoga Therapy for the Upper Back, Neck and Shoulders. They haven't been out long, but the exercises Gary Kraftsow uses in these DVDs have been used in studies on back care and came out as winners.
You say your stress and tension causes your back pain, it is likely it is also contributing to your weight problems. See articles like this that support that theory. Finding some stress relief yoga tapes may be a good idea too, there are several short ones out there (try a search on amazon with 'yoga dvd stress').
However, if you want to do more of a workout type yoga to help with the weightloss (besides the stress relief), doing a short DVD isn't going to do it. You'll need to build up to more than 40 minutes of moderate exertion per a session to get fat burn going in your body. For weight loss I recommend combining stress relief yoga (especially in the evening) and strength-and-stamina yoga.
I would do the back therapy ones for a while first, though, until your back feels stronger and you have a good feel on what poses work for you and how to modify poses that don't. Then add stress-relief and then move on to more physically demanding yoga.
