Many people today are trying to get healthier by following one of the countless diet plans on the market. From cutting out carbs and decreasing your caloric intake there are countless ways to lose weight and become healthier. Many of these diet plans require drastic life changes, however, and some even involve the purchase of books and pre-made packaged food items.
Your mum might be really against you going on a diet because she's worried about you worrying about your weight, so it sounds like she's a good mum even if you don't agree on this point.

this is something you should try -
breakfast- a bowl of special K (its for loosing weight & tastes good) and some pomelo which is a fruit its like a grapefruit but sweeter and helps loose weight.
in between breakfast and lunch eat a granola bar of a pro tine shake
ensure (not plus it makes you gain weight) and regular ensure helps build muscles. It smells funky but tastes so good i love the chocolate.
lunch- Salad and only dark leafs and add other vegetables that you like, and grilled chicken with a great healthy vinaigrette
1/4 C White Vinegar
1/2 - 2/3 C Olive Oil (whisk in thoroughly - or use food processor)
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme (if you use the dry - only use 1/2 tsp)
1 clove of garlic - chopped fine
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
Mix thoroughly, and serve as is or chill in a sealed container. It will last about 3-4 weeks in the fridge (It might last longer than that but I've never tried it. Mine is always gone by then)
between lunch and dinner a light snack like some fruit or some healthy yogurt
dinner- Roasted Sweet Potato Smash
Ingredients (Makes 6 1/3-cup servings)
1-1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
1 large baking apple, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 pieces
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup Homemade Vanilla Ensure® Shake
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
2. In a medium cast-iron frying pan or oven-safe frying pan, combine sweet potatoes, apple bits, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, and oil. Toss together.
3. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are soft and slightly caramelized. (If potatoes are sticking to the pan, carefully add a few tablespoons of water.)
4. Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl, add the Ensure Shake and mash with potato masher. Serve hot.

Balsamic-Glazed Chicken and Bell Pepper Sandwiches:
6 servings (serving size: 2 wedges)
Balsamic vinegar cooks down to a glaze that clings to the sandwich fillings, adding a hint of sweetness and a touch of acidity. Pressing the sandwich after assembling it conducts the heat from the chicken and cooked vegetables to melt the cheese.
Ingredients:
4 teaspoons olive oil, divided
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1 1/4 pounds chicken breast tenders
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar, divided
2 cups red bell pepper strips (about 2 medium)
2 cups vertically sliced onion (about 1 large)
2 (8-ounce) loaves focaccia bread, cut in half horizontally
4 ounces provolone cheese, thinly sliced
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon salt over chicken. Add chicken to pan; cook 1 minute on each side or until lightly browned. Add 1/4 cup vinegar; cook 2 minutes or until chicken is done and vinegar is syrupy. Remove chicken mixture from the pan; cover and keep warm. Wipe pan clean with a paper towel.
Return pan to medium-high heat; add remaining 2 teaspoons oil. Add bell pepper and onion; sauté 7 minutes or until tender. Stir in remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and remaining 1/4 cup vinegar; cook 1 minute or until vinegar is syrupy.
Arrange chicken mixture evenly over bottom halves of bread; top with bell pepper mixture. Arrange cheese over pepper mixture, and sprinkle with black pepper. Top with top halves of bread. Place a cast-iron or heavy skillet on top of sandwiches; let stand 5 minutes. Cut each sandwich into 6 wedges.
tips-
drink a lot of water and only water. you can also at night drink green tea which that alone helps you loose weight( use splenda sugar or no sugar at all in the tea). chew your food well and throughly. if you eat slowly you get full faster. serve your self in small plates (fools your mind and makes you think you are full because the food compared to the plate seems a lot). brush your teeth often or chew sugar less gum mint flavor. The mint flavor makes you less hungry. As for the time I eat breakfast some time early in the morning than at around 1:00 eat lunch and around five to six eat dinner. in between eat snacks like Dole Fruit Gel Bowls and Dole Fruit Parfaits(they are so good my favorite is black cherry and i get them at winco), there are a lot of snacks that have few calories like the Quaker Caramel Corn Quakes Rice Snacks that also come in different flavors.
exercises- Do crunches and sit ups, and also take dance classes thats a fun ways to loose weight. jog as often as you can, and exercising with someone else makes you more competitive and makes you push your self a bit more

Eat at health high protein breakfast. A light lunch, and a health low fat dinner about 2-3 hours prior to bedtime.
Example Menu:
Breakfast:
1 cup of fruit

You maybe at risk of overtraining. Contrary to popular belief you should workout less in order for your nervous system to take a break. You have to understand that it's actually quite easy to wear out your nervous system. So I would suggest that you take a break for a maximum of 1 week. Your mind and body will definately be fresh to tackle the gym.
Once that week is over - start off with the light phase for 2 weeks (4 sets of 12 reps) then the medium phase for 4 weeks (3 sets of 10 reps) then the heavy phase for another 4 weeks (2 sets of 8 reps). What I just mentioned here is a type of training called "Periodization". Many athletes use this training all the time. You should be training for 4 times a week split training for no more than an hour.
Diet is also another issue. 1-2 grams of protein per pound of body weight and at least 2500-3000 calories per day. You'll put on a little bit of fat however your bulking up.
