Best Sports Drink Discovered
Here’s a question for you:Do you know any thing that is necessary to life which you can find all over the world and costs you nothing? You are correct if your answer is water. Water has the ability not only to refresh us but it also restores our energy especially on hot and sunny days. It principal action is to plump up dry, withered cells and transport nutrients obtained from food to all parts of the body. We are told to drink a minimum of six to eight glasses of water a day for optimum health.
Despite the hydrating qualities of water, people don't want to drink it in its pure form as it tastes boring, to say the least, and instead are now choosing to drink the many replacement brands on the shelves. Many of us drink fruit juices, sodas and other beverages when we are thirsty. Athletes better understand the importance of drinking enough water because they lose a lot of body fluids through sweat during their sports activities. Marathon runners are provided with water along entire route to ensure they remain hydrated.
A stroll through your local supermarket will reveal a wide variety of bottled water, among them sports drinks, sparkling water and carbonated water. Gatorade is one of the most popular sports drink, which contains fluids, electrolytes and carbohydrates. Not only athletes use it to gain energy boost, but many people also use it simply do not like the taste of plain water, or it is used by someone who has been losing a lot of fluid through vomiting or diarrhea. That is all very good, though a twenty ounce bottle of Gatorade includes 130 calories. Gatorade also include colors, flavors and sweeteners that make them more attractive to non-water drinkers. However, these additives contain extra calories which adds pounds to the persons who are already overweight or are trying to reduce weight.

Carbonated water, is filtered water with co2 in it (bubbles), you can include it as a glass of water in your diet. Don't pay crazy $ for bottled water, club soda is cheap, and clean, quenches your thirst, and the tiny bubbles scrub that "ICK" out of your mouth when thirsty, I love it, bottled water (with the pretty waterfall picture) is a TOTAL RIP OFF (you don't know what that "WELL" REALLY LOOKS LIKE, could be a swamp), use tap water with a simple "De-ionazation filter" if you're that worried. A de-ionazation filter will bring the already treated tap water, up to just about "PERFECT" water. As a matter of fact, it is so clean after this filter, that the water may be used for "LAB" work, THERE IS NO PURER WATER ON EARTH ! The filter costs about $16, and screws onto the sink tap easily (no tools). Culligan makes one for $16, filters are $6... The "PUR" water system is $30, the filters are $30, so be careful when choosing a brand. Avoid "Spring Water", it may look good but springs are not purified water, so it is very dangerous, most springs in the ground end up being highly polluted, or a broken sewer line is actually what people think is a spring.
I have one of these, it's flipping SWEET
Pur and Brita pitchers are great - both have expensive filter replacements but you can stretch them out for 6 months, especially for just you.

Like aynything one consumes it most likely has a carbon footprint - think of the manufacturing process in a large factory, the transport footprint of moving the product to the grocery store, you then most likely use some form of vehicle to get to the store, and then there is the recycling of the bottle (which while great, still requires a lot of energy and fuel for such a process to run). So while I think there are numerous other things that would leave a larger carbon footprint, I do believe that giving up carbonated water would reduce your actual carbon footprint if you did not simply switch to something else bottled, but perhaps gave tap water a try?
