A Young Man Decides to See His Family Doctor About His Depression and His Alcohol Problems
Larry finally made up his mind to go and see his healthcare professional about his problem drinking. At first, Larry thought he would be able to merely go online, look for some straightforward alcohol info, and come to a decision whether or not he was an alcoholic. Not surprisingly, he discovered many websites that specified some of the common alcoholism symptoms. That’s the encouraging news. The less than encouraging news, sadly, was that Larry exhibited several of these alcoholism symptoms.
Illustrations Alcohol Dependency Symptoms
As an illustration, Larry was drinking increasingly more than usual and he was beginning to have more fiery bickering with his girlfriend. In addition, for the first time in his young life he was going through sleeping problems. In a similar way, Larry often felt depressed and on an escalating basis he had been displaying limited concentration while on his job.
In the same way, he felt highly stressed and more edgy on a day-to-day basis and for the past several months he exhibited unclear thinking while on the job. In view of the fact that Larry manifested all of these symptoms, he was excusably worried about his unhealthy drinking.
So Larry finally made up his mind that he needed to call his family physician and ask for an appointment. In point of fact, this was tough for Larry because his doctor was also his parents’ family doctor. The springboard for his disquiet was this: at the risk of embarrassing his family, he had to go and make known his irresponsible and abusive drinking behavior to his physician.
When Larry arrived at the doctor’s office, he openly informed the family doctor about the anxiety he felt about his irresponsible drinking behavior. When the family healthcare practitioner asked what was stimulating this trepidation, Larry acknowledged that he had gone online and read about alcohol addiction and especially about alcoholism symptoms. He then outlined all of the alcoholism symptoms that he plainly thought he possessed.
An Exhaustive Physical Examination and Outpatient Alcohol Rehab
The family healthcare practitioner notified Larry that it was smart of him to attend to his drinking difficulties, he gave Larry an exhaustive physical exam, and recommended that he go into an out-patient alcohol rehab program that was run by one of his doctor colleagues.
Moreover, when Larry stated that he had been feeling a sense of melancholy to a greater extent, the healthcare practitioner told Larry that alcoholism and depression often occur in the same person. Thus, the physician also recommended that Larry seek therapy to deal with his despair.
The Value of Dealing With Your Drinking Problems
The doctor made it a point to inform Larry that he might not inevitably be an alcoholic, but that he was certainly drinking in a careless manner. The family doctor then told Larry that the reason he recommended alcohol treatment in the first place was because he wanted him to come to terms with his drinking difficulties, make sure that he stopped them from going downhill further, and start to live in a more healthy manner, even if it meant that he had to totally quit drinking.
In a nutshell, by productively treating his drinking difficulties, Larry would be able to get his drinking issues under control and refrain from the negative cycle of events that could most likely result in addiction to alcohol.
Without a doubt, Larry did not want to face the thought of getting admitted into an alcohol treatment facility. Nor was he overjoyed about going to a therapist about his despair. In the face of these fears, conversely, Larry actually felt some psychological relief for the first time in several months because he finally stopped making excuses for himself and finally made up his mind to do something affirmative about his drinking behavior.

15 happy minutes in the doctor's waiting room teaches me I have depression, alcoholism and tuberculosis. So I bought myself a bottle of rum.
This is so easy to understand. Why dont more people take their health into their own hands and demand to be treated the correct way from their MD's. Everything mentioned in this video is common sense. This is a wonderful learning video and i hope people watching it assert themselves to do better for themselves then their doctors can ever do. No reason for people to be feeling so bad. Thank you

Focus is too much on "ME". We tend to think of ourselves way too much. We don't do for others. We don't place someone elses desire over ours.
We all need to get back to the real questions which are:
Why am I here? How did I get here? Was I created by design and for a purpose? Am I simply a highly evolved animal that happened by random chance?
The latter would make anyone narcissitic -- and make them eventually feel as if there is no reason to live...
bitch drink. life is short enjoy it. fuck them punks telling you wats right and wats wrong.

Hi Patti, I think it is best if you go to visit her, even if it is far. I'm sure she could use the support if she is going through hard times. When you do see her you could help her get in touch with a therapist. Hope this helps.

This is so impressive. I would be inclined to contact this man if I needed any assistance.

I seem to see drunk children regularly. The easy answer is that "someone" sells the stuff to them, and the licensing laws need to be enforced. Well maybe they do, but I have seen, and been approached by children, who I turned down, but other "adults" went along with, to buy alcohol for those children.
The fact is that we are allowing children to become increasingly self-governing in this country. No-one seems to say "no" anymore. If you do say "no", you are abused by them, and no-one seems to think that is wrong either. If you complain to their parents, the parents seem to think that you have no right of complaint - "Why don't you leave our Johnny alone and mind your own business? Are you a pervert?" might be the best you could expect.
We are increasingly afraid to intervene when we see children misbehaving, and they know it better than we do, so they do what they want.
A cross for our own back is what "children's rights" have put upon us.
LONDON (Reuters) - People who take a class of older anti-depressant drugs have an increased risk of heart disease, scientists said on Wednesday, but the risk is not increased with newer selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI).
I saw her after 18 months and she said: I have visited Shokat’s clinic on four occasions. Shokat has helped me to turn my life around, so much so I agreed to share my story, which can be viewed on YouTube. At all times I have always felt safe and have been treated with the utmost respect, and have always found Shokat to be very professional in his manner. He is one of the kindest, honest, caring, most genuine people I have ever met, and one of the few gentlemen left on this planet.

I salute you doctor, thanks.
It would really be helpful if you would provide us with the symptoms which this elderly woman actually is manifesting. We know that there are many PD symptoms and not all are common to all conditions. So to say Parkinson's symptoms could mean anything from tremors to slow shuffling gait or rapid short stride to drooling to cognition issues to bradykinesia to dyskinesia, dystonias, anosmia, akinesia (not exactly early PD but) speech and breathing issues, vision problems, constipation, depression, urinary frequence, nocturia, ED, loss of arm swing, balance issues, rigidity/stiffeness, cramping, .micrographia, soft voice, weight loss, fatigue and more. So a few hints would be helpful.
MSA, Essential Tremor, parkinsonism, MS, stroke, mercury poisoning, alcohol abuse, dystonia (as separate from PD) tumor, hypoglycemia, hyperthyroidism, anxiety, peripheral neuropathy. There is a long list that accompanies the 66% symptom of tremor, spinal injury, drug as in medication interaction, nutrition (there are some rather exotic fruits which can produce tremor symptoms)
When my daughter lived in the Netherlands as an exchange student her host mother insisted that everyone drink coffee every time they sat down for tea or a meal. This was 5 times a day. I didn't allow that in our house so her coffee intake was limited to US coffee a few times a week with friends prior to this. European coffee is high octane by comparison. Within 2 weeks she was shaking like the proverbial leaf and couldn't sleep. Her host mother allowed her to cut the coffee with milk but teased her horribly. Now, of course, this same child has high coffee standards. Caffeine perhaps?
Moving along: Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, natural aging process, dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies are also logical options. Benign fasciculations, Celiac's disease, Lyme disease, (oops just forgot the name on something else)
Does this patient have scoliosis?
More exotic: Fahr's syndrome? probably not as it is also associated with mental retardation which you would have mentioned.
Not knowing the other symptoms, means I'm stuck because without the symptoms it might not be neurodegenerative at all, might not be CNS involved.

Alcohol and Depression alcoholism facts :O
be careful you don't mistake a mental disorder with you're home or area being haunted. it is sometimes possible for entire towns to be haunted and knowbody would even know. psychiatrists will never understand or admit the likelihood of hauntings. most people don't understand that hauntings come to us in our dreams mainly and people often plaged with bad dreams imediatly think its mental when its a spiritual thing. i have encountered demons the size of a universe in my dreams and its horrible
you should give your character wernicke korsakoff syndrome. that would make it more interesting because he could confabulate everything. Then you wouldnt know what is true or false
hmm that is odd
but I seem to remember seeing this on a medical tv show. A man came in because he kept passing out it happened each time he drank water. It was a reaction that just happened out of the blue. They even recreated the situation having drink in the hospital. He gagged & choked then passed out.
The diagnose was a reaction to cold foods. They learned he did the same thing when eating ice cream or other cold foods. It had something to do with a muscle in the throat closing as a reflex when the cold stuff touched it. Then it would go down into the lungs causing coughing.
Sadly no cure he was just told to avoid cold foods and drinks.
I'm not sure if this is your toddlers problem since it only happens to water but I have heard of weird allergies to water.
Talk to your childs doctor about this. He may just reacting to the water itself. While we should all drink plain water we have to admit other drinks are better since they have taste to it. Water doesn't so he could just gag at the same way he'd gag to other bad tasting foods or drinks.
I feel like smoking or drinking my problems away. I feel depressed
