A Registered Nurse Decides to Stop Smoking, Start Exercising, Quit Drinking, and Go on a Diet
For the past twenty-eight years Natalie has been a nurse at a small Veteran’s hospital. As a licensed practical nurse, she evidently knew what to tell her patients when it came to their health issues but in her private life, nevertheless, she undeniably didn’t practice what she preached. As an illustration, she frequently drank quite abusively, she almost never exercised, she smoked two-and-a-half packs of cigarettes per day, and she was roughly thirty-five pounds overweight.
Natalie Gets Into A Traffic Accident, Fails A Breath Alcohol Test, and Goes to The Community Jail
One night on her way to the hospital, Natalie got into a vehicle accident. Because the accident was her fault and since her speech was slurred when she talked, the arresting officer administered a breathalyzer test. In concurrence with standard law enforcement operating procedures, when an individual gets involved in a traffic accident and tests positive for an alcohol test, the individual has to spend at least four hours in the county jail.
Actually, Natalie should have known better than to drive after she had been drinking because she recently participated in an “alcohol awareness” class at the hospital that centered on issues, statistics, and information about alcohol facts such as the following: alcohol poisoning, binge drinking, DUIs, and the primary differences between alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse.
Natalie is Experiencing More Than a Little Shame About Her Traffic Accident
Needless to say, Natalie felt embarrassed about her car accident. Not only this but she was humiliated by the fact that the accident was her fault. And perhaps worst of all, she experienced quite a bit of shame about the fact that she was driving after she consumed a few drinks. As Natalie mulled over her situation, nonetheless, she comprehended that it could have been a lot worse because at the hospital, when a blood alcohol test is administered and failed, the individual has to go to mandatory alcohol therapy and is placed on non-pay status. This was in effect one of the alcohol facts that was a reality at work and not much could change this fact.
Natalie’s Shame About Her Vehicle Accident Helps Motivate Her To Reevaluate Her Life and Make Some Important and Beneficial Alterations
At any rate, Natalie’s shame about her traffic accident caused her to reexamine her life and make some relevant and healthy changes. First, she was going to stop drinking in an abusive and hazardous manner. Second, she was going to quit smoking. Third, she was going to go on a strict weight-loss diet. And fourth, she was going to begin exercising.
As displeased as Natalie was about the entire car accident situation, she used this embarrassing experience as a springboard for positive change. In addition, she used her agonizing experience as a realization that she had been overlooking her own health while she professionally told other individuals how to live in a more healthy manner. After all had been said and done, she eventually saw the fraudulence in her behavior and made up her mind that she would live her life as a constructive source of encouragement for others.

George W. Bush said Tuesday that his upcoming book begins with an anecdote about his wife persuading him to give up drinking by pushing him to decide whether he preferred booze to fatherhood.
Your question?
State Senator Anthony D. Galluccio, a repeat drunk driver who is currently jailed because he failed a court-ordered breath alcohol test, resigned from the Legislature last night with a brief letter in which he apologized for his role in an October hit-and-run car accident but insisted that he has not had a drink since that time.

Only time can decrease the blood alcohol level. If you are healthy your BAC will probably decrease about .015 every hours after your last drink. Make sure to sleep good the night before and to eat before drinking. I learned that in drug alcohol abuse class.
Thank you very much from Venezuela, Prof. Breeding. This is one of the most enlightening argument I have come across. My sister who lives in North Carolina, US, has been enslaved to drugs because of her ¨panic attacks". She has been very nervous but I never thought it was a desease woth 200 US$ a month. I do myself have "sleep problems" so I guess I also qualify in the MDS manual!!. I would love to hear some comments on "sleep disorders" too. Thank you.

I personally never have smoked....
but to quit smoking, first try 2 not keep any cigarettes in ur house. if u go out and see them and get a temptation 2 buy some... think about ur goal u need 2 stop! think that you CAN do it. i know it must be really hard... but think if u smoke one cigarette, 5 minutes are taken away from ur life. the next time ur having a temptation 2 smoke, think, do i want 2 die soon? think about ur friends, family, and everyone who would be sad if u died.
that usually works. but if u cant even stop ur self from smoking by thinking about this, then i guess........ u should just avoid being in places where u can see cigarettes or people who r smoking. yeah, i know it is hard 2 go 2 places where people dont smoke... but then think about how happy u will be when u quit!!!!
My friends mom quit smoking like this... and so did some famous celeberties and more....
So come on! You can do it!

If you want to see people flip their lids fast, try invading their personal space. These intrusions cause our stress hormones to skyrocket and can affect our physical and mental health. Blood pressure, heart rate, and muscle tension are all affected.
What is personal space? In "Emotional Freedom" I emphasize its main aspects. First, it's the invisible border that surrounds us and sets our comfort level when we interact. Depending on our preferences, it can range from inches to feet and varies with situations, upbringing and culture. (Elephants have a no-go line of a few feet around them; cross it and you'll hear a noisy trunkful or be charged.) Most Americans need an arms-length bubble around them. Second, personal space refers to the border that guards your physical and psychic privacy.

Breath Test: No. 1 hour per unit (drink) of alcohol.
Blood: Yes: If they use an EtG test, it lasts up to 80 hours.
Urine: Yes, same as above.
The standard cop DUI tests (breath, blood or urine) look specifically for alcohol, which your body will metabolize in about 1 hour/drink. That metabolic process produces other chemicals, however, and THOSE chemicals can be detected for days. The cops don't usually care if you've been drinking 48 hours ago, your parole officer might.
I might suggest that if you're up for a court-ordered blood test, you should take a hard look at WHY you're being asked to report for testing, instead of trying to cheat the system.
Thx of your further explanation of the usage method

You had developed a psychological dependence on smoking. After you quit smoking you had to replace it with another habit and you probably tend to overeat or overindulge in your favorite food.
Instead of eating your favorite fat rich food you can have a tasty protein drink or a milk shake. This will correct you tendency to overeat.
