A Married Couple Gets Stressed Out About Their Abusive and Hazardous Drinking and Speculates Whether They Display Any Signs of Alcohol Addiction
Jerry and Sarah have been married for eight years. They wanted to have some excitement and fun before they made up their minds to have some kids and so they intentionally constructed a very dynamic social life.
The chief issue, it needs to be stressed, is that almost everything they do to have fun is associated with drinking. For example, all of the parties with friends, family get-togethers, happy hours, sporting events, and dinner engagements they patronize somehow involve drinking.
Sarah and Jerry Begin to Take Note of Some Definite Alcohol Related Issues That are Without a Doubt Related to Their Hazardous Drinking
If they were responsible drinkers, this wouldn’t be a big issue. Because they drink rather heavily, nevertheless, they are beginning to become aware of some clear-cut alcohol-related problems in their lives.
As an illustration, just five days ago Jerry was placed under arrest for a third DUI and has been shirking responsibilities at work due to alcohol-related health problems. What is more, Jerry’s last two or three performance evaluations at work have been less than satisfactory and he has started to fail to remember what he does or says the times that he drinks. Lastly, Jerry has been experiencing sleep-related problems and his family is starting to display some disquiet about his drinking activities.
Sarah, on the other hand, has been feeling depressed with life in general and to manage these feelings, she has been drinking more regularly than any time in the past seven months. Not only this, but Sarah has been getting more than a few throbbing migraine headaches and going through very bad hangovers after drinking. Lastly, Sarah has been feeling much less active when she awakens in the morning, she has been getting to work late at least once per week, and she has been getting some negative criticism from her friends, relatives, coworkers, and family members about her abusive drinking.
Watching the Television and Going Through the Channels and Finding A TV Special About the Signs of Alcoholism
One Wednesday evening while watching the television, Sarah and Jerry went through the channels and discovered an exciting documentary about the signs of alcoholism.
This TV documentary was a real shock to Jerry and Sarah because some of the alcoholism signs that were gone over seemed like they were unswervingly linked to several of the alcohol-related drinking problems Jerry and Sarah had been suffering through.
A Truthful Chat About Drinking Activities Brings to Light Alcohol Related Employment, Relationship, Financial, Legal, and Health Problems
After watching the television special, Jerry and Sarah arrived at a decision to have a frank talk about their drinking activities. They both concurred that most, if not all, of their social pursuits included drinking, that they were drinking in an excessive manner, and that as a couple, they were starting to observe alcohol related employment, legal, health, financial, and relationship problems for the first time since they were married.
With thoughts of the television documentary still running through her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcohol dependency signs they have been manifesting could be an indication that they are addicted to alcohol or conceivably becoming addicted to alcohol. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s inquiry and so he recommended that they make an appointment with one of the doctors at the local alcohol abuse rehabilitation center to find out more about the gravity of their drinking issues.
Coming to Terms With Your Drinking Difficulties Just Might Lessen Your Nervousness and Give You Some Tranquility
Strangely enough, although their drinking circumstances hadn’t yet changed, it was noticeable that Jerry and Sarah were at the very least addressing their drinking issues, they were ready to find out more about their drinking circumstances, and they were interested in learning how they could appreciably lessen or get rid of the drinking-related difficulties that had begun to intensify.
When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that evening, they arrived at a decision that the next afternoon, Jerry would call and make an appointment for both of them at the drug and alcohol treatment facility located downtown. After they promised one another that they would do whatever it takes to defeat the alcohol-related difficulties that had cropped up in their lives, they in point of fact had the best night’s sleep they could think of in the last year.
Just before she fell asleep, Sarah turned to Jerry and mentioned how easy it is to decrease one’s apprehension and in point of fact experience some peace of mind by attending to one’s problems straight on and making a decision to do something positive about them.

You are young...but apparently you are at a point where you are becoming aware of your habits..so that is good. I would highly recommend that you curb your habit now. Alcohol is one of the most dangerous drugs when taken for long periods of time. Alcohol and Valium are the only two drugs that you can die coming off of. The constant use of either causes your organs to become dependent..mainly your liver and your kidneys. When people who have used alcohol for long periods of time try to quit, they are in serious risk of kidney or liver failure. I highly recommend that you try not to drink daily. Also, educate yourself on the long term effects of alcohol on your body. You are young and have so much to live for...if you continue to drink like this..by the time you are in your mid 40's...you will really start to notice the ill effects that alcohol will place on your body. That is not to mention all of the personal drains and challenges it can cause you emotionally and the others around you . I wish you luck!!!

If there are just a couple little signs I wouldn't confront him becuase it is quite possible that he just shakes when he gets nervous. If you truly believe he may be an alcholoic watch for the signs of coming into work late or messy or come into work drunk or has the smell of alcohol coming from his clothing or what not and his apperence begins to change thats when you should be concerned. The most importment thing to remember is you shouldn't disscrimate agaisnt him. Alcoholism is a real desies that affects millions of people.
